Optimus Bank is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Relationship Manager, Personal Banking to join our Retail Banking team in Kano. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer relationships, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell and upsell banking products and services, ensuring a robust customer portfolio.
- Lead and motivate a team of account officers and direct sales agents (DSAs) to consistently achieve performance targets and deliver top-notch customer service.
- Foster business growth by meeting set revenue, risk asset, and deposit mobilization targets through proactive relationship management and customer engagement.
- Acquire new customers and expand the bank's reach by promoting and deploying POS terminals for collections.
- Manage relationships with existing customers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of their banking needs.
- Drive the onboarding of new customers, including account funding, linking of ATM cards, and mobile application setup.
- Oversee the booking of quality loans while ensuring proper risk management procedures are followed.
- Ensure consistent customer engagement to mobilize deposits and acquire salary accounts.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly performance reports, providing insights and action plans for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Resident of Kano.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, with proven success in commercial banking and personal banking operations.
- Strong track record in client relationship management, with the ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and financial operations.
