Job Summary
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and skilled Resident Nurse to join our healthcare team in Ebonyi State. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to residents in our facility. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, the Resident Nurse will deliver personalized care and promote optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, Plan, Implement, and Evaluate Care: Develop and manage individualized resident care plans.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Engage in initiatives and committees aimed at enhancing care quality and facility operations.
- Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and timely records and reports in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor Resident Health: Track and document resident vital signs, medical conditions, and progress.
- Provide Education and Support: Offer guidance and support to residents, their families, and caregivers to ensure understanding and compliance with care plans.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Compassionate Care: Demonstrated compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Nigerian healthcare regulations and standards.
- Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing).
- Specialization: Post-graduate certification in gerontology or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs).
