We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Risk and Compliance Associate to join our Lagos team. The ideal candidate will manage compliance, investigate financial irregularities, and ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Transaction Monitoring: Analyze real-time FX transactions for anomalies and fraud risks using advanced systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with AML and KYC regulations, submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as needed.
- Documentation Review: Verify and approve transactional documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate client risks and implement mitigation strategies for high-risk customers.
- Data Analysis: Use advanced tools to detect patterns of financial crime and create actionable reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about regulatory updates and enhance monitoring systems.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams, auditors, and regulators to uphold compliance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
