Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Scriptwriter/Storyteller to join our team at BantuPage Limited. The ideal candidate will have an impeccable command of English, whether British or American, and a proven track record of producing compelling scripts for various media formats. This role demands creativity, innovation, and the ability to generate fresh ideas that resonate with our audience.
As our Chief Writer, you will be responsible for crafting scripts for documentaries, short films, social media posts, website content, and more. You will also play a crucial role in generating engaging content for our YouTube channel and other platforms. A one-week trial period will be conducted to assess your suitability for the role, followed by a phone interview to discuss the next steps.
Work Hours and Arrangement
- Schedule: 09:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Arrangement: Hybrid - Three days of office attendance and two days remote (remote days are at the company's discretion).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Write and revise scripts as needed, ensuring final versions meet the company's standards.
- Develop believable plots and characters.
- Generate themes and ideas for various content formats.
- Prepare concise summaries and pitch ideas to producers or development executives.
- Create scripts for content as specified by the company.
- Incorporate feedback from management and staff into your drafts.
- Conduct research to support script development.
- Format screenplays according to industry standards.
Requirements / Skills / Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Proven creativity and innovation in scriptwriting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional writing and observational skills.
- Flexibility in working hours.
Salary: N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
