Job Title: Security Coordinator

Job Purpose:
The Security Coordinator role is pivotal in overseeing the JV Assets Security program, ensuring compliance with Company, Industry, Regulatory, and National standards. This includes safeguarding people, assets, and reputation across various operations, from Offshore to Onne Site and Field Development Projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security strategy development and implementation
- Coordination of security operations and critical activities
- Manpower planning and resourcing for over 100 security personnel
- Liaison with relevant departments including HSE and Logistics
- Oversight of asset protection and maintenance services
- Coordination of security control room activities
- Threat analysis, risk evaluation, and incident management
- Operational support for emergency preparedness
Candidate Profile:
- Qualification: University degree in Sciences, Engineering, Social Science, Political Science, or Law. Military or Police experience with Oil and Gas Industry background preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in task scheduling and supervisory roles, ideally within Oil and Gas operations.
- Essential Skills: Time management, team building, problem-solving, initiative, and decision-making under pressure.
Context & Environment:
- Based in Port Harcourt with offshore visits; operates in high-risk, volatile environments.
- Relies on extensive training, supervision, and coordination of Government Security Forces.
- Deals with complicated contractual processes for armed security services and compliance concerns.
- Involves around-the-clock security measures with teams working both day and night.
- Offshore security measures require technical expertise and long lead time for maintenance.
