Job Description
As a Senior Auditor at Citibank Nigeria, you will support the Head of Audit (HoA) for Citibank Congo. This role involves delivering assurance activities such as audits, regulatory issue validations, business monitoring, and risk assessment both locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the local Head of Audit (HoA) at governance forums and effectively communicate Internal Audit activities.
- Conduct international and local country audits adhering to Citi’s Internal Audit Methodology.
- Monitor emerging issues and complete regulatory reporting promptly.
- Recommend solutions to mitigate risk and control weaknesses.
- Collaborate with internal audit quality assurance and management information teams.
- Analyze the regulatory landscape and tailor audit scopes to meet expectations.
- Draft and present audit reports, recommending actionable corrective plans.
- Ensure audits and validations are completed on time and within budget.
- Adhere to policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of post-graduation experience, including 10 years in banking.
- At least 3 years as a Senior Manager with experience in major banking operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with a relevant higher degree or professional qualification.
- Experience in risk-based audits and presenting results to management.
- Understanding of risk management tools, criteria, and methods.
- Higher degree or related certifications (ACCA, CIA, CPA, ACA, CFA, CISA, CAMS) is desirable.
- Experience working with global teams and integrated audit delivery is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
