Currently, we are actively seeking a qualified candidate to join us in the role of Senior Backend Engineer (LARAVEL) based in Lagos on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical support to the MD/CEO and handle administrative tasks for the company and its affiliates.
- Maintain current consolidated management insights into departmental and project performances.
- Oversee subsidiaries and affiliates under the CEO's direction.
- Manage the development of new products and projects.
- Lead strategic projects on behalf of the CEO.
- Contribute to technical studies, research projects, and prepare reports for presentation to the MD/CEO.
- Gather technical reviews and opinions from internal stakeholders, consolidate findings, and present them to the CEO.
- Prepare comprehensive dashboards and spreadsheets to update the MD/CEO on departmental performance.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks outlined on Microsoft Planner.
- Conduct research and prepare technical documents, briefs, speeches, and presentations to support the MD/CEO's activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Laravel development.
- At least 5+ years of experience building backend technology within the fintech sector, with a current title as a senior backend developer.
- Essential startup experience in fintech.
- Candidates must be based in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in programming languages/frameworks such as PHP/Laravel, Nodejs.
- Deep understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Familiarity with Linux, Mac OS, and Windows operating systems.
- Proven track record as a Senior Software Engineer.
- Extensive experience in the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic) and automated testing frameworks.
Salary: N10,000,000 - N14,000,000 annually.
