About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager at M-KOPA, you will be entrusted with overseeing and advancing our enterprise inventory management systems. Your role will be central to ensuring that we can efficiently manage and scale our operations across Africa while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.
This position is within our Acquisition Sales product group, with a focus on inventory management systems and processes. You will take ownership of our Microsoft Dynamics implementation, ensuring its seamless integration with other operational systems to maintain business continuity as we expand across various regions.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Strategic Ownership: Define and drive the evolution of M-KOPA’s inventory management systems, ensuring alignment with business needs as we scale.
- Inventory Control and Process Optimization: Implement robust inventory control processes that enhance operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and support accurate reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve our warehouse, supply chain, refurbishment, and second-life device capabilities, ensuring these systems remain scalable and efficient.
- System Management: Own complex feature areas such as serial number tracking, reverse logistics, and repair management, continuously optimizing these systems for operational efficiency.
- Cross-market System Enhancements: Spearhead system optimization initiatives across multiple markets, ensuring seamless integration and performance at scale.
- Change Management: Partner with operational teams to drive change management initiatives, ensuring the successful adoption of new features and capabilities.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Collaborate with operational teams to maintain SOPs for inventory management across all channels and locations.
- Financial Collaboration: Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Product Management Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly with enterprise inventory management systems.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or similar enterprise inventory management systems.
- Scalability Success: Proven track record in successfully scaling inventory management systems to meet the needs of growing organizations.
- Logistics Management: Experience managing reverse logistics and repair tracking systems, ensuring seamless product lifecycle management.
- Global Team Collaboration: Experience working with distributed teams across multiple countries, managing cross-functional collaboration.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Financial Compliance: Understanding of financial compliance requirements related to inventory management, including accurate stock movement workflows and inventory valuation.
