Snowflake is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer who excels in solving complex customer problems and closing large deals. This pivotal role requires close collaboration with our sales team and channel partners to identify customer needs, strategize winning sales cycles, deliver compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and drive successful business closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Present Snowflake's Vision: Showcase Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
- Hands-On Engagement: Collaborate with prospects and customers to demonstrate Snowflake's value throughout the sales cycle, from demonstrations to proof of concept and implementation.
- Industry Insight: Stay updated on the evolving industry landscape, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies to effectively position Snowflake.
- Collaboration: Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake’s products and marketing strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7-8 years in the industry with at least 5 years in a pre-sales environment.
- Presentation Skills: Exceptional ability to present to both technical and executive audiences, whether on a whiteboard or through presentations.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies.
- Hands-On Skills: Proficient in SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
- Problem-Solving: Capability to connect customer business challenges with Snowflake’s solutions and understand customer architecture frameworks.
- Education: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields. A Master's in Data Science or Business Administration is a plus.
- Experience with GSIs: Familiarity with Global System Integrators (e.g., EY, Deloitte, Accenture) is advantageous but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
This role is eligible for Snowflake's commission plan, with on-target earnings between $203,800 - $283,500. The base salary ranges from $152,850 - $212,625. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending accounts; paid time off; and more.
