BlackLine SaaS is the system of interaction for finance and accounting teams and integrates with numerous ERPs, CRMs, Payment systems, Point of Sale systems, and other applications.
As a Sr. Software Engineer in Test, you will play a crucial role in our company's success by contributing to, as well as driving, high-quality releases and value-delivery to our customers. You will automate tests for web-based, mobile applications and RESTful APIs to support our high-transaction and big-data SaaS applications. Your attention to detail, tenacity, creative problem-solving, and forward-thinking will directly impact the company's success, as well as your peers' success across the organization.
By following and evangelizing quality standards, as well as overall SDLC processes as they relate to quality, you will be able to affect meaningful change in the organization and help drive our culture to a quality and customer-first mentality.
You'll Get To
- Ensure the best quality is maintained and deliver the infrastructure as a product for BlackLine.
- Work with the SRE team to implement an equivalent QE system to bring in the needed changes.
- Build and support continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and continuous testing activities.
- Improve the BlackLine SaaS service experience by discovering and highlighting optimization opportunities with existing code or architectural design to address application availability, performance, observability, efficiency, and security challenges.
- Develop tools and systems to automate the identification, analysis, and remediation of application events, infrastructure issues, or requests.
- Build from scratch/POC tools and technologies to align with QE's vision.
What You'll Bring
- Education: B.Tech/Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of relevant testing experience from a product company.
- Experience testing in Google Cloud/AWS/Azure or similar cloud providers.
- Strong experience in testing Infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and related tools and technologies.
- Experience with Containerization and Docker-related technologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes and related technologies.
- Basic knowledge of Software programming in Object-Oriented languages.
- Strong working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, Jenkins.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, proven track record, and experience with support of Enterprise Azure SAAS (.Net applications) hosted in app service plans - Serverless App services and Function apps, Observability tools, Application insights, exposure to KQL.
- Experience with New Relic monitoring of Azure services.
- Scripting: Python, PowerShell, and Azure CLI, YAML.
- FinTech or Financial services domain background.
