Who We're Looking For
The Toyota San Francisco Region's Technical Training Department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Service Training Specialist (STS) to join our team.
About the Role
The Service Training Specialist is responsible for delivering technical training classes and curriculum to Toyota dealership technicians within the San Francisco region. This pivotal role ensures customer safety by ensuring our technicians are highly trained, capable of delivering exceptional service, and adhere to Toyota's "Fix-It-Right-The-First-Time" protocol.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Toyota core and new model courses to technicians of varying skill levels.
- Develop and maintain technical training curriculum.
- Collaborate closely with Dealer partners, District Service & Parts Managers (DSPM), and Field Technical Specialists (FTS) to meet training and certification needs.
- Provide technical support and build relationships with Toyota Technical Education Network (T-TEN and TEC's Elite) schools.
- Support new model launches and contribute to national curriculum development efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of automotive technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- ASE Master Technician certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred
- Experience as a classroom instructor.
- ASE Master Technician certification in all 8 areas and L1.
