We are currently recruiting for the position of Settlement and Reconciliation Officer in Lagos. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and make a significant impact in the finance sector.
Responsibilities
- Review account statements and settlement reports.
- Upload settlement reports accurately and promptly.
- Generate settlement entries efficiently.
- Escalate exceptions to the Product teams and Banks.
- Ensure the prevention of fund losses.
- Detect and promptly escalate any instances of lost funds to all stakeholders.
- Review expectations when not available and manage appropriate escalation.
- Address exceptions, focusing on items outstanding post-reconciliation by comparing internal expectations with statements and settlement entries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a degree from a reputable institution.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a settlement and reconciliation role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Essential Skills/Qualities
- Strong understanding of payment industry transaction dynamics.
- Ability to manage and analyze massive data sets.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- In-depth understanding of reconciliation processes.
