Job Title: Utility Manager

Position Overview
The Utility Manager will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical utility equipment, including steam boilers, generators, air compressors, power distribution equipment, water treatment plants, and effluent treatment plants. The role requires ensuring the reliability and efficiency of these systems to deliver quality services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of utility equipment such as steam boilers, generators, air compressors, power distribution equipment, water treatment plants, and effluent treatment plants.
- Lubricate equipment as outlined in the lubrication chart and ensure proper cleaning after maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, environmental management systems, and occupational health and safety regulations in all operational activities.
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs) to prevent exceeding critical limits at the Dominik Hunter and Filler stations, ensuring the safety of the beverage manufacturing process.
- Manage utilities to minimize downtime, ensuring the availability and reliability of essential systems.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the CO2 plant and associated supply networks.
- Conduct equipment monitoring using checklists, document findings, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare and submit shift operation reports detailing equipment performance.
- Perform condition-based maintenance using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), specifically SAP-PM.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related field.
- At least 5 to 7 years of relevant hands-on experience in FMCG operations and maintenance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role within a beverage bottling company.
- Strong knowledge of bottling operations, including planning, manufacturing, quality control, environmental standards, health and safety practices, and engineering management.
- Experience in budgeting and people management.
