Job Description:
African Fertilizer and Chemicals (Nigeria) Limited invites applications for the role of Shift Supervisor at our Sulfuric Acid Plant. The incumbent will lead production operations during designated shifts, plan maintenance tasks, prepare reports, and liaise with service departments. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe plant operations to meet quality standards.
- Take prompt action and maintain control during emergencies.
- Possess expertise in the storage and handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Provide daily reports to the Plant Manager.
Requirements:
- HND/Bachelor's Degrees in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry.
- 5-10 years of experience in operating Sulfuric Acid/LABSA/Similar Chemical plants.
- Proficiency in plant operations, troubleshooting, safe shutdown procedures, and startup protocols after short and long shutdowns.
