Position: Shipping Officer

Location: Oshodi - Isolo, Lagos

Job Summary

Promasidor Nigeria is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Shipping Officer to oversee and coordinate shipping activities, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulatory requirements for timely clearance of shipments via sea and air.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and facilitate the efficient clearing of shipments from ports, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Process duty payments, SONCAP, NAFDAC costing, and other compliance procedures.
Monitor and evaluate third-party service providers to optimize performance.
Manage export processes and prepare monthly reports on import/export activities.
Track shipments in transit and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure all clearing documentation is accurate and complete.
Liaise with relevant government agencies (Customs, NAFDAC, SON) to resolve shipping-related issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum of a B.Sc. Degree in a relevant field.
At least 3 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics.
Strong understanding of Nigeria’s clearing processes, shipping documentation, and regulatory procedures.
Proficiency in Power BI is an added advantage.
