In this pivotal role, you'll ensure adherence to project requirements, regulatory standards, and engineering norms while overseeing site activities. Acting as the crucial link between project engineers and contractors, you'll uphold onsite quality assurance, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
As a Site Engineer, your duties include:
- Ensuring technical compliance with project specifications
- Conducting onsite inspections to verify work quality and adherence to standards
- Overseeing implementation of inspection and test plans
- Generating daily field reports
- Safeguarding adherence to safe work practices
- Managing project interfaces and contractor relations
- Verifying equipment readiness and operator certifications
Requirements
We're seeking candidates with:
- Minimum B.Sc. in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical/Process Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Proficiency in swamp project execution
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to navigate challenges inherent in Niger Delta Oil and Gas fields
- Knowledge of welding procedures, coating requirements, and engineering standards
- Capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with latest technological advancements in quality assurance
