In this role, the selected candidate will work closely with the Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and various departments across the company to support procurement, contract management, and sourcing activities.

Job Description

As a Sourcing Coordinator, you will be entrusted with several key responsibilities within the company’s procurement and contracting operations. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of contracts and procurement processes, aligning with Nestoil’s high standards and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contracting Process Management

    • Oversee the entire contracting process, from strategy formulation to contract award, in strict adherence to company policies.
    • Ensure all contracts are aligned with approved model contracts and support the periodic review of these agreements.
  2. Negotiation and Savings Generation

    • Participate in contract negotiations, focusing on dispute resolution, claim settlements, and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Maintain a log of savings generated from contracts and ensure proper validation of such savings.
  3. Tender and Bid Preparation

    • Collaborate with various user departments to develop work scopes and prepare Invitations to Tender (ITT) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
    • Organize and prepare tender and bid documents, as well as define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each contract.
  4. Standardization and Compliance

    • Adapt standard contract documents and templates to suit local conditions and specific project requirements.
    • Offer professional advice on contractual matters to contract owners, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  5. Call for Tender and Market Analysis

    • Establish and manage the Call-For-Tender (CFT) commercial documents, ensuring proper circulation and adherence to tender procedures.
    • Perform thorough market studies and analysis of responses to invitations to bid, assessing contractor performance and qualifications.
  6. Contractor Performance Reviews and Documentation

    • Champion periodic contractor performance reviews, maintaining up-to-date records of qualified contractors, suppliers, and potential tenders.
  7. Strategic Contract Validation

    • Assist in validating contract strategies, including pre-qualification of bidders, defining target prices, and establishing criteria for contractor evaluation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualifications: A minimum of a First Degree in Engineering.
  • Certifications: Relevant Procurement certifications are essential.
  • Work Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas production or drilling industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, particularly in oil and gas, drilling completion, and production processes.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate favorable terms for the company while managing contract renegotiations and claims.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, with excellent organizational skills to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
  • Work Commitment: A strong commitment to working beyond office hours when required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Location Awareness: Familiarity with working in the Niger Delta region is a plus.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage stakeholders effectively, including key federal government agencies such as NNPC, NPDC, and NCDMB.
