The Team Lead is responsible for hands-on leadership over the Clinical Support Operations departments. The Clinical Support Operations unit provides critical administrative and back-office support to the Clinical Operations departments such as member outreach, support authorization creation, provider outreach, clerical support, and more.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises, evaluates, and coordinates daily team operations and responsibilities to ensure that departmental productivity goals are met in terms of quality, timeliness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Allocates, monitors, and assigns resources while delegating and monitoring workloads.
- Assists Leaders with reviewing team performance and implements continuous process improvement and quality initiatives.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate actions and administer departmental policies.
- Develops and monitors team goals; provides ongoing feedback and coaching; conducts annual performance reviews; leads by example; and ensures an atmosphere of open communication, teamwork, and empowerment to make informed decisions.
- Assists Manager in directing, training, and developing team members by embodying the Trailblazer mindset and leading others by example.
- Builds and develops relevant business relationships, critically thinks about departmental problems, and makes informed recommendations on resolving issues.
- Team Leader will rotate through the Clinical Operation departments over time, learning the different functions in support of the department's operating model.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Supervisory or training experience
- Relevant work experience
- Demonstrated professionalism and leadership skills with the ability to develop, direct, and support a team
- Time management, critical/creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Adept at planning, organizing, and executing
- Ability to build and enhance team productivity
- Ability to effectively manage performance and set and achieve goals
- Intermediate Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
Hiring Range
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $57,408 - $76,960
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $49,795 - $72,800

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses, and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
