We are currently recruiting for the position of:
Job Title: Tech & Civic Society Management Trainee
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Contract (24-month fixed term)
Role Overview
This role is designed to equip trainees with essential management skills and organizational knowledge, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and development. The trainee will contribute to smooth management transitions, supporting CcHUB’s succession planning initiatives. Some travel may be required based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities
Project Support
- Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring civic tech and digital security projects
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure milestone achievement
Collaboration & Partnerships
- Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with organizations, institutions, and government agencies
- Draft proposals and agreements for collaboration
- Maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders
Administrative Support
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and correspondence
- Coordinate logistics for events and activities
Research & Analysis
- Research emerging trends in civic tech, digital resilience, and security
- Analyze data to inform project strategies and decisions
- Prepare reports and presentations
Community Engagement
- Organize events, workshops, and meetings with stakeholders
- Support outreach to engage diverse communities in civic tech and digital security initiatives
- Manage communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and website content
Qualifications
- Interest and foundational knowledge of technology's intersection with society and social good
- 4–6 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of legal conditions for technology use in social contexts
- Desire to learn and integrate new digital technologies
- Creative thinking and audience engagement skills
- Organizational and multitasking abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Political Science, or related fields; Master’s preferred
Key Skills
- Ability to articulate technology-driven harms
- Skilled in writing, analysis, and use of social tools for data gathering
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Passion for innovation and social change
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
