With Sahara Power Group’s acquisition of the 1320 MW capacity Egbin Power Plant through Nigeria's privatization program, the company is on track to generate a minimum of 5,000 MW over the next five years.
Egbin Power is currently recruiting for the position of Technical Procurement Lead. This full-time role is based in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead tactical and strategic procurement activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Negotiate contracts, ensuring the best commercial terms.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with QHSE, NDPR, and data protection policies.
- Manage procurement for CapEx projects and develop sourcing strategies.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure contract compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-11 years of procurement experience in a technical or heavy industry environment, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
- Experience in contract management, international sourcing, and working with power plants or OEMs is highly desirable.
