About the Role
Baker Hughes is seeking an experienced and motivated Tender Manager for its Oilfield Services and Equipment (OFSE) division. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in executing and developing the commercial strategy for assigned regions and segments. Your efforts will directly contribute to business growth and the delivery of tailored solutions to customers.
As Tender Manager, you will interface with various internal and external stakeholders to manage both Early Engagement (EE) and Must Win (MW) opportunities. This is a critical role within the commercial function, focusing on strategic opportunities that align with Baker Hughes' objectives and values.
Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy and Risk Management: Assist in formulating and executing the commercial strategy, ensuring risk and reward balance is evaluated effectively. This includes assessing factors such as terms, conditions, technical risks, margin, and payment security for all tenders.

Pricing and Conditions: Collaborate on pricing strategies and develop granular pricing models within predefined contract frameworks. You will have the flexibility to adjust pricing where appropriate, ensuring competitive outcomes for the business.

Customer-Centric Sales Approach: Promote Baker Hughes’ value propositions to both internal stakeholders and customers. Use solution-based selling techniques to improve customer satisfaction and drive business success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including Global Product Line Headquarters (HQ), Region OFSE Sales teams, technical teams, accounts, and commercial risk management. This cross-functional collaboration ensures successful project execution and business growth.

Governance and Commercial Integrity: Uphold the integrity of commercial processes, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and governance. As part of this role, you will assist in evolving commercial teams in line with new global initiatives and process improvements.

Proposal and Financial Management: Take ownership of the Commercial Proposal Summary and Project Financial Forecast for all deals requiring financial approval. This includes managing OFSE and cross-Product Line (PL) Must Win opportunities, coordinating with commercial operations teams for specific projects.

Risk Mitigation and Profitability: Ensure a clear understanding of customer requirements, delivering technical and commercial solutions that minimize risk to Baker Hughes while maximizing profitability. Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and technology teams to offer cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Proposal and Tender Management within the oil and gas or energy technology sector. You should have broad experience in the ITO (Inquiry to Order) process, project business, P&L management, and commercial disciplines.

Industry Experience: Strong background in the oilfield services and equipment sector, with a specific focus on operations, sales, or proposals related to cementing operations.

Commercial Tools: Proficiency with commercial tools, analytical systems, and platforms such as Deal Machine, Quote Machine, and CPQ to ensure effective margin management and price execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working across product companies, regions, and functions to drive business success.
