Job Brief

We are looking for a Territory Development Manager responsible for daily sales execution and managing Territory Development Officers (TDOs) or Territory Development Executives (TDEs) within the assigned territory to achieve overall sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sustained market share growth for SBC's key products within your assigned territory.
  • Identify untapped sales channels and new routes to increase market share.
  • Launch and promote new products while implementing local and national sales initiatives.
  • Recognize and communicate potential sales risks or opportunities to the distributor and recommend solutions.
  • Submit monthly market trend reports to your line manager.
  • Conduct regular fieldwork with direct reports to ensure sales initiatives are executed effectively.
  • Collaborate with the logistics, supply chain, and warehouse teams to ensure product availability.
  • Coach and motivate direct reports on sales strategies and encourage participation in learning programs.
  • Utilize mobile sales force automation applications to drive sales and improve customer experiences.
  • Track sales and numeric distribution to meet objectives.
  • Implement quality control measures at distributor outlets, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO).

Requirements

  • BSc / HND in Management or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in route-to-market and sales management with a proven track record in beverage sales.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Goal-oriented and driven to meet sales targets.
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
