Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

• Assist the Head of Trade Operations in managing daily operations for efficiency and compliance.

• Ensure adherence to operational standards and regulatory requirements.

• Drive improvements in accuracy, service quality, and cost control.

• Work closely with Trade Product Operations and Global Business Services (GBS) to enhance processes.

• Improve the client experience by addressing disruptions and commercializing digital tools.

• Oversee transaction flow to meet local regulatory and business requirements.

Process and Productivity Management

• Monitor and optimize workflows for timely transaction processing.

• Implement productivity targets and cost-reduction strategies.

• Enhance digital adoption by increasing client utilization of online platforms.

• Work closely with technology teams to leverage digital advancements.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policy requirements.

Governance and Risk Management

• Oversee transaction processing, ensuring compliance with risk and control measures.

• Conduct self-assessments and escalate any operational risks to leadership.

• Support internal audits and assurance reviews.

• Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Client and Stakeholder Management

• Engage with Transaction Banking and other stakeholders for seamless implementation of new trade products.

• Foster strong relationships with internal teams such as HR, Finance, Legal & Compliance, and external regulators.

• Provide subject matter expertise to enhance client operations and trade services.

• Lead initiatives to digitize transactional flows and enhance self-service capabilities.

People and Talent Development

• Train and develop team members to maximize efficiency and service quality.

• Drive a culture of client-centricity, agility, and accountability.

• Conduct capacity planning to align with business changes.

• Ensure succession planning for critical roles.

Regulatory and Business Conduct

• Uphold the highest standards of ethics and regulatory compliance.

• Ensure effective implementation of regulatory changes.

• Collaborate across teams to mitigate risks and resolve compliance matters.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certification (CDCS/CSDG) is an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations.

• Strong understanding of trade products, process flow, and regulatory frameworks.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership and management capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital banking tools.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
