Job Summary
The Training Manager will oversee the design, development, and delivery of all training programs within United Nigeria Airlines. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, service, and operational efficiency through comprehensive training initiatives. The Training Manager will collaborate with departmental heads, regulatory bodies, and external training providers to align programs with industry best practices and the airline’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Strategy & Development: Develop and implement training strategies supporting the airline’s goals and regulatory compliance. Identify training needs and design programs to meet these needs.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage the training budget and allocate resources effectively. Source and oversee training facilities, equipment, and materials.
- Reporting & Analysis: Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and metrics. Prepare reports on training activities, outcomes, and compliance.
- Training Delivery: Oversee onboarding, recurrent, and specialized training. Coordinate with external providers for specialized programs and ensure engaging delivery.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure training programs comply with NCAA regulations and international standards. Maintain records of all training activities and certifications.
- Team Management: Lead and develop a team of training professionals. Provide coaching and professional development.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with department heads and regulatory bodies to identify training needs and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification in Training and Development is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a training management role, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of NCAA regulations, international aviation standards, and training best practices.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and communication skills. Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training software.
