Purpose of the Programme
The Country Management Support Units (CSUs) are integral in supporting managers and staff within WHO, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and financial regulations. The Travel and Protocol Clerk will play a key role in supporting travel logistics, protocol coordination, and administrative duties in WHO Nigeria.
Job Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Operations Officer and Procurement & Travel Specialist, the Travel and Protocol Clerk will be responsible for:

Travel Support:
- Logistical support for official visitors, senior personnel, and guests at airports.
- Ensure adherence to WHO's Travel Policy and assist in reporting and data gathering on travel activities.
- Facilitate visas for short-notice arrivals and manage travel arrangements for WHO staff and their families.
- Drive official vehicles for travel assignments when authorized.

Protocol Support:
- Liaise with Embassies, international agencies, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on protocol matters.
- Process visas, staff service cards, and assist in the organization of protocol for high-level events.

General Administrative Support:
- Assist with document management, including photocopying, filing, and dispatching materials.
- Support the processing of vehicle-related paperwork and customs clearances.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Secondary school completion with administrative training (Diploma and UN system training preferred).
- Experience: At least 3 years in a relevant administrative role, preferably in the UN system.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, fluent in English, excellent driving and diplomatic skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
