Zetile Oil and Gas Limited is an indigenous company operating in the downstream sector, specializing in the haulage, commercial, and retail sales of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), and Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). We also offer energy services through exploration and production.
We are currently recruiting for the position of:
Job Title: Truck Driver
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues; perform preventative maintenance.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, accidents, or violations.
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers driven, retaining fuel/toll receipts.
Requirements and Skills
- SSCE qualification with 5 - 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven work experience as a Truck Driver.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
- Valid truck driving license.
- Trucking school diploma.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
- Willingness to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
- No recent moving or driving violations.
