Application Details

• Requirements:

  • Complete forms with surnames first, followed by first names and middle names.
  • Changes to submitted forms require a fee.
  • Use titles like Mr, Miss, or Mrs.
  • Programmes include Ph.D., M.A., M.Ed., M.Sc., MPH, LLM, and PGD.

• Eligibility Criteria:

  • Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Minimum CGPA of 1.25 on a 5-point scale.
  • Master’s Programmes: Minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4-point scale or 3.0 on a 5-point scale.
  • Ph.D. Programmes: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale or 3.5 on a 5-point scale.

How to Apply

1. Application Process:

   • Pay a non-refundable fee of ?35,000 at any bank using the E-Transact platform.
   • Obtain a payment slip with a unique PIN.
   • Access the application form on the UNICAL Admissions Portal using the PIN and your mobile number.
   • Complete and submit the form online, then print a copy.

2. E-Scratch Card Process:

   • Purchase the application form via the E-Transact platform at any bank.
   • Pay ?35,000 and obtain a payment slip.
   • Use the PIN from the slip to complete the form on the UNICAL Admissions Portal.

3. Concept Note Submission:

   • Ph.D. Programmes: Maximum of two pages.
   • Master’s Programmes: Maximum of one page.
   • The concept note should include:
     • Statement of the problem
     • Relevance of study
     • Study aims
     • Justification
     • Methodology
     • Theoretical background
   • Failure to submit the concept note will disqualify you from the oral interview.

4. Transcripts:

   • Send academic transcripts from previous institutions to the Academic Secretary, College of Postgraduate Studies, UNICAL by the screening date.
   • Transcripts must be received by the screening day; incomplete applications will not be considered.

Screening Information

• Part A: Computer-based test covering English, Logic, Mathematics, ICT, and General Knowledge.
• Part B: Oral interview (Ph.D. and Master’s candidates only). No oral interview for MBA, MPAS, and PGD programmes.
• Mock Examination: Required for computer fluency.
