Prof. Salman is a prominent scholar in Mathematics Education, earning her Bachelor of Education from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1985. She went on to complete her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Mathematics Education from UNILORIN in 1990 and 1997, respectively.
Before joining UNILORIN as a Lecturer II in 1999, Prof. Salman had an extensive teaching career, having taught in various primary and secondary schools across Kwara State. She also served as a part-time lecturer at the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin.

Prof. Salman’s dedication to teaching, research, and community service earned her promotion to Professor in 2012. Throughout her career at UNILORIN, she has held several key positions, including Head of the Department of Science Education and Dean of the Faculty of Education.
