DENUHENT Farms (ITF-NECA) Poultry and Fishery Training Programme
The DENUHENT Farms Poultry and Fishery Training, offered by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), is a four-month intensive skills development initiative. In collaboration with DENUHENT Farms in Makurdi, this programme will provide you with practical training in sustainable farming.
Programme Overview
Established in 1971, the ITF has continuously worked to create a strong indigenous workforce for Nigeria. Its collaboration with NECA and DENUHENT Farms is designed to equip young Nigerians with employable skills for agricultural businesses. This programme aims to foster entrepreneurship by nurturing essential skills that support self-reliance.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 18 to 40 years
- Qualifications: You should possess at least one of the following:
- Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
- Higher National Diploma (HND)
- Bachelor’s Degree (A commitment to dedicate four months and a willingness to pursue farming full-time are advantageous.)
Entrance Examination
Shortlisted candidates will be notified and required to attend an aptitude test and interview. You should bring:
- Two passport-size photographs
- Original Birth Certificate
- Original Educational Certificates
- National ID, Voter’s Card, or International Passport (original and photocopy)
