Volkswagen has officially announced the offer structure for its 2025 ID.Buzz lineup in the United States, introducing three distinct trims: the Pro S, Pro S Plus, and the exclusive 1st Edition.
The 2025 VW ID.Buzz rear-wheel-drive (RWD) model boasts a 91 kWh battery and 282 horsepower, while the 4Motion all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant offers an impressive 335 horsepower. Specific ranges and pricing details for these models will be revealed closer to their launch dates.
The Volkswagen ID.Buzz Pro S model will exclusively feature a rear-wheel-drive configuration, offering bench seats capable of accommodating up to seven passengers.
In contrast, both the Pro S Plus and 1st Edition models will be available in both rear-wheel and 4Motion all-wheel-drive setups. The ID.Buzz 1st Edition RWD variant comes with standard bench seating, while Volkswagen offers standard bench seating for the Pro S Plus rear-wheel-drive model.
Customers opting for the VW ID.Buzz Pro S Plus have the option to upgrade to the captain chair package, which offers six seats. Meanwhile, for Pro S Plus and 1st Edition ID.Buzz 4Motion AWD models, the captain chair package is included as standard.
Previously, Volkswagen launched the ID.Buzz in the United States and Canada at Huntington Beach, a renowned surfing destination. The European automaker has extended the ID.Buzz's wheelbase for the North American market, providing customers with ample storage space of 2,469 liters. Additionally, the North American ID.Buzz features a new heat pump for enhanced efficiency during winter.
Ahead of the ID.Buzz's North American debut, Volkswagen cautioned dealers against overpricing the microbus, emphasizing the need for a fair pricing strategy to benefit both consumers and dealers alike.
