Job Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all warehouse activities. This position is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, optimizing productivity, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials efficiently.
- Develop and execute material planning strategies to ensure an adequate supply of materials at all times.
- Create and enforce warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, offering guidance, training, and performance evaluations to enhance productivity and skill development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring that inventory levels are properly managed and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Monitor the quality and cleanliness of the warehouse environment, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Coordinate logistical processes and streamline operations to improve overall warehouse efficiency.
Requirements
- OND in any relevant field with 1-2 years of hands-on experience in warehouse management or a related role.
- Proven ability to strategically plan warehouse operations to optimize the use of space, time, and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to remain composed under pressure and effectively address and resolve emerging issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Positive attitude, dedication to the job, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
