The U.S. Mission to Nigeria comprises the Embassy in Abuja and the Consulate General in Lagos. The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos serves as the Mission's primary representative to the southern region of Nigeria.

Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Location: Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: 48 hours per week
Job Overview
The U.S. Embassy in Abuja is seeking qualified and eligible candidates for the position of Warehouse Worker in the General Services Office (GSO). The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Foreman and perform a variety of manual supply and inventory duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload and move incoming supplies, office furniture, household equipment, and other items to authorized storage areas.
- Confirm storage locations with the receiving supervisor.
- Ensure the proper arrangement and storage of items in the warehouse.
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory checks to track the movement of supplies and property.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and perform all job duties responsibly to prevent health and safety hazards.
Job Requirements
Education
- Completion of Secondary School (High School) is required.
Experience
- A minimum of one (1) year of prior work experience in a supply or warehouse section is required.
Job Knowledge
- Proficient in operating a forklift and basic vehicular driving.
- Strong understanding of warehouse storage protocols and property handling procedures.

Skills & Abilities
- Must be capable of performing moderately heavy physical tasks, including lifting objects weighing at least 20kg.
- Adherence to all safety regulations is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Nigeria’s road network, laws, and U.S. Embassy safety standards is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with customers is essential.
- A valid Class B Nigerian driver’s license is required.
