Job Summary:
As a Well Intervention Engineer at WTS Energy, you will spearhead the optimization, design, and planning initiatives crucial for enhancing hydrocarbon production from wells. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders including Project Managers, reservoir engineers, and logistic coordinators, you'll play a pivotal role in maximizing the efficiency of workover operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Well Design and Planning: Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to craft well trajectories and comprehensive drilling programs.
- Well Intervention and Drilling Operations: Plan and execute various well intervention operations while ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations governing drilling and intervention operations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of drilling activities and prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory authorities.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry developments and technological advancements to continually enhance drilling and intervention processes.
- Equipment Selection and Procurement: Select appropriate equipment and work closely with vendors to procure necessary resources while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with drilling and intervention activities, implementing measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Data Analysis: Analyze well data to optimize performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control drilling costs while maintaining operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience in well service operations such as slickline, eline, and rod jobs, along with proficiency in artificial lift systems.
- Possession of IWCF Well Control or Well Interventions Certificate at supervisor level.
- Background in Well Intervention Engineering or Completions preferred, with an Engineering or Science degree being advantageous.
- Experienced in well integrity management and proficient in Maximo maintenance management systems.
- Competence in Control of Work systems such as ISSOW or equivalent.
