We are currently seeking a skilled professional to join our team in the position of Well Intervention Engineer. Based in Port Harcourt, Rivers, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the optimization, design, and planning of hydrocarbon production from wells. Collaborating with a diverse team including Project Managers, reservoir engineers, and technical specialists, you'll play a key role in maximizing the efficiency of workover operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Well Design and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to design well trajectories and develop drilling programs considering geological factors.
- Well Intervention and Drilling Operations: Plan and execute interventions such as workovers and completions, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Equipment Selection and Procurement: Select appropriate drilling and intervention equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with drilling activities, implementing measures to ensure safety.
- Data Analysis: Analyze well data to optimize performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control drilling costs while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations governing drilling activities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to improve processes.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in well service operations and artificial lift systems.
- Well Control or Well Interventions Certificate (supervisor level) preferred.
- Background in Well Intervention Engineering or Completions.
- Engineering or Science Degree preferred.
- Experience in well integrity management and maintenance management systems.
- Competence in control of work systems.
