Are you passionate about ensuring quality and compliance in global health initiatives? World Health Organization (WHO) is the leading authority within the United Nations system dedicated to global health. We are currently seeking a qualified Quality Assurance Officer to join our team in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth due diligence assessments of Implementing Partners to identify high-risk areas and recommend mitigating measures.
- Plan, conduct, and report on comprehensive on-site verification missions to ensure funds are used in line with contractual requirements and WHO policies.
- Support the continuous improvement of processes through policy development and capacity-building activities for staff and partners.
- Prepare reports for Country Offices, Regional Office, and HQ, analyzing and monitoring financial transactions to ensure compliance.
- Undertake internal Administrative Assessment missions and spot checks to enhance quality assurance processes.
Requirements:
Education:
- University degree in Business Administration, Financial Management, Auditing, or related field.
- Professional certification in auditing/accounting is desirable, along with an advanced degree (Master's) in a relevant field.
Experience:
- Minimum of five years of experience in auditing, internal control, or financial management.
- Experience in developing countries and international organizations is desirable, as well as familiarity with public sector operations.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and financial management principles.
- Proficiency in accounting practices and procedures, including IPSAS application.
- Excellent analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Remuneration:
- Annual base salary starting at USD65,588, with 30 days of annual leave.
